Historically, value added of agriculture as a share of GDP in Panama reached an all time high of 10.2% in 1989 and an all time low of 3.36% in 2011. When compared to Panama's main peers, value added of agriculture as a share of GDP in Colombia amounted to 6.43%, 6.03% in Costa Rica, 14.5% in Honduras and 18.1% in Nicaragua in 2015.
Panama has been ranked 114th within the group of 153 countries we follow in terms of value added of agriculture as a share of GDP, 17 places below the position seen 10 years ago.
