Alpha Bank Romania generated total banking revenues of RON 578 mil in 2016, up 16.9% when compared to the previous year.
Historically, the bank’s revenues containing of interest, fee and other non-interest income reached an all time high of RON 858 mil in 2010 and an all time low of RON 31.5 mil in 1998. The average revenue in the last five years amounted to RON 631 mil.
Net interest income represented 68.5% of total revenues, fee income contributed 13.2% and other non-interest income added further 18.2% to the overall revenue generation in 2016.
Bank's total revenues accounted for 3.92% total assets in 2016, up from 3.29% a year earlier.
When compared to bank's main peers, Banca Commerciala Romana generated total revenues of 4.25% of assets in 2016, BRD Groupe Societe Generale operated with 5.35% revenue margin and Raiffeisen Bank Romania produced total income worth 6.49% of assets.
