Bank equity reached 9,820 INR bil in fourth quarter of 2016 in India, according to the National Central Bank. This is 1.18 % more than in the previous quarter.

Historically, bank equity in India reached an all time high of 9,820 INR bil in fourth quarter of 2016 and an all time low of 4,287 INR bil in first quarter of 2009. When compared to India's main peers, bank equity in China amounted to 4,695 CNY bil and 1,317 PKR bil in Pakistan in fourth quarter of 2016.
