Bank equity reached 262 MYR bil in fourth quarter of 2016 in Malaysia, according to the National Central Bank. This is 2.23 % more than in the previous quarter.

Historically, bank equity in Malaysia reached an all time high of 262 MYR bil in fourth quarter of 2016 and an all time low of 76.9 MYR bil in first quarter of 2006. When compared to Malaysia's main peers, bank equity in Cambodia amounted to 17,109 KHR bil, 107 SGD bil in Singapore, 2,098 THB bil in Thailand and 770,000 VND bil in Vietnam in fourth quarter of 2016.
