Bank equity reached 4,695 CNY bil in fourth quarter of 2016 in China, according to the National Central Bank. This is 3.54 % more than in the previous quarter.

Historically, bank equity in China reached an all time high of 4,695 CNY bil in fourth quarter of 2016 and an all time low of 3,771 CNY bil in first quarter of 2015. When compared to China's main peers, bank equity in India amounted to 9,820 INR bil, 5.06 JPY bil in Japan, 7,660 RUB bil in Russia and 1,961 USD bil in USA in fourth quarter of 2016.
