Bank equity as a share of bank assets reached 11.0 % in second quarter of 2019 in Greece, according to the National Central Bank. This is 4.54 % more than in the previous quarter.

Historically, bank equity as a share of bank assets in Greece reached an all time high of 12.2 % in third quarter of 2017 and an all time low of -1.07 % in first quarter of 2012. When compared to Greece's main peers, bank equity as a share of bank assets in Albania amounted to 10.4 %, 12.4 % in Bulgaria, 11.6 % in Macedonia and 11.3 % in Turkey in second quarter of 2019.
