Bank Handlowy's capital adequacy ratio reached 17.6% at the end of 2022, down from 20.1% compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s capital ratio hit an all time high of 22.0% in 2020 and an all time low of 12.1% in 2008.

The Tier 1 ratio amounted to 17.6% at the end of 2022, down from 20.1% compared to a year earlier.

Bank's loan to deposit ratio reached 42.8% at the end of 2022, down from 49.0% when compared to the previous year. Some 10 years ago, loan to deposit ratio of the bank amounted to 68.2%.

Comparing Bank Handlowy with its closest peers, PKO BP ended the year 2022 with a capital adequacy ratio at 17.8% and loans to deposits of 68.7%, Pekao with 17.4% and 75.3% respectively and ING Bank Slaski some 16.2% in terms of capital adequacy and 80.4% of loans to deposits at the end of 2022.
