Historically, the bank’s net profit reached an all time high of CNY 73,630 mil in 2018 and an all time low of CNY 1,604 mil in 2004. The average profit in the last five years amounted to CNY 68,688 mil.
On the other hand, bank’s revenues amounted to an all time high of CNY 216,132 mil in 2018 and an all time low of CNY 18,414 mil in 2002. The average revenues in the last five years reached CNY 197,305 mil.
Comparing Bank of Communications with its closest peers, Home Credit China generated a net profit of CNY 1,297 mil with revenues of CNY 19,823 mil in 2018, Qudian netted CNY 2,491 mil (revenues of CNY 4,957 mil) and Lexin FinTech announced a net profit of CNY 1,977 mil (revenues of CNY 4,258 mil).
