Czech banks operated with capital adequacy ratio of 21.8% at the end of the third quarter of 2022, down 2.12 bp when compared to the same period of last year. Historically in between 1Q2006 - 3Q2022, the ratio reached a high of 24.6% in 2Q2021 and a low of 11.3% in 3Q2006.

Sector's Tier 1 ratio reached 21.1% and equity accounted for 16,768% of loans. This is up 3.05 bp and down %down bp when compared to five years ago.

Hypotecni Banka reported the highest capital adequacy ratio (46.0%) followed by Max banka (29.4%) and Stavebni Sporitelna Ceske Sporitelny. Moneta Stavebni Sporitelna and Raiffeisen Stavebni Sporitelna managed to operate with relatively low capital ratios of 14.2% and 16.5%, respectively.
