Banks' risk-weighted assets reached 3,074 KES bil in fourth quarter of 2016 in Kenya, according to the National Central Bank. This is 2.61 % less than in the previous quarter.

Historically, banks' risk-weighted assets in Kenya reached an all time high of 3,156 KES bil in third quarter of 2016 and an all time low of 400 KES bil in first quarter of 2006. When compared to Kenya's main peers, banks' risk-weighted assets in Tanzania amounted to 18,952 TNS bil and 16,007 UGX bil in Uganda in fourth quarter of 2016.
