Banks' RWA rose 5.45% to SKR 4,900 bil in Sri Lanka in third quarter of 2016

Banks' risk-weighted assets reached 4,900 SKR bil in third quarter of 2016 in Sri Lanka, according to the National Central Bank. This is 5.45 % more than in the previous quarter.

Historically, banks' risk-weighted assets in Sri Lanka reached an all time high of 4,900 SKR bil in third quarter of 2016 and an all time low of 2,378 SKR bil in first quarter of 2012. When compared to Sri Lanka's main peers, banks' risk-weighted assets in India amounted to 88,451 INR bil, 1,524 MYR bil in Malaysia, 23.4 MVR bil in Maldives and 26,493 MMK bil in Myanmar in third quarter of 2016.
