Historically, cereal production in Switzerland reached an all time high of 1,411 kt in 1989 and an all time low of 515 kt in 1963. When compared to Switzerland's main peers, cereal production in Austria amounted to 4,933 kt, 68,384 kt in France, 47,167 kt in Germany and 18,323 kt in Italy in 2015.
