Ceska Sporitelna's non-performing loans reached 2.20% of total loans at the end of 2020-12-31, up from 1.80% when compared to the previous year. Historically, the NPL ratio hit an all time high of 27.1% in 2001-06-30 and an all time low of 1.70% in 2019-09-30.

Provision coverage amounted to 115% at the end of 2020-12-31, up from 96.0% compared to a year earlier.

The bank created loan loss provisions worth of 6.68% of average loans in 2020-12-31. That's compared to 0.842% of loans the bank put aside to its cost on average in the last five years.

When compared to bank's main peers, CSOB operated at the end of 2020-12-31 with NPL ratio of 2.00% and provision coverage of 48.7%, Komercni Banka with 2.63% and 62.9% respectively and MONETA Money Bank had 2.30% of bad loans covered with 110% by provisions at the end of 2020-12-31.
