Citigroup's capital adequacy ratio reached 16.5% at the end of first quarter of 2019, up from 16.2% when compared to the previous quarter. Historically, the bank’s capital ratio hit an all time high of 17.7% in 2Q2012 and an all time low of 10.6% in 3Q2007.

The Tier 1 ratio amounted to 13.5% at the end of first quarter of 2019, down from 13.7% compared to the same period of last year and up from 13.5% when compared to the the previous quarter.

Bank's loan to deposit ratio reached 65.0% at the end of 1Q2019, down from 66.0% when compared to the same period of last year. Some 10 years ago, loan to deposit ratio of the bank amounted to 82.0%.
