Citigroup generated total banking revenues of USD 18,576 mil in the first quarter of 2019, down 1.57% when compared to the same period of last year and up 8.48% when compared to the previous quarter.
Historically, the bank’s revenues containing of interest, fee and other non-interest income reached an all time high of USD 29,969 mil in 2Q2009 and an all time low of USD 5,405 mil in 4Q2009. The average revenue in the last six quarters amounted to USD 18,156 mil.
Net interest income represented 63.3% of total revenues, fee income contributed 15.8% and other non-interest income added further 20.9% to the overall revenue generation in 1Q2019.
Bank's total revenues accounted for 3.79% total assets in the first quarter of 2019, down from 3.93% a year earlier.
