CO2 emissions as a share of total worldwide CO2 emissions fell 1.60% to 3.52% in Japan in 2017, according to World Bank / EIA.

Historically, CO2 emissions as a share of total worldwide CO2 emissions in Japan reached an all time high of 6.10% in 1973 and an all time low of 2.48% in 1960.
