CSOB's non-performing loans reached 2.37% of total loans at the end of 2017, down from 3.03% when compared to the previous year. Historically, the NPL ratio hit an all time high of 6.30% in 2003 and an all time low of 1.61% in 2007.

Provision coverage amounted to 65.0% at the end of 2017, up from 60.6% compared to a year earlier.

The bank created loan loss provisions worth of 0.110% of average loans in 2017. That's compared to 0.196% of loans the bank put aside to its cost on average in the last five years.

When compared to bank's main peers, Ceska Sporitelna operated at the end of 2017 with NPL ratio of 2.10% and provision coverage of 92.0%, Komercni Banka with 3.10% and 61.7% respectively and MONETA Money Bank had 4.10% of bad loans covered with 76.8% by provisions at the end of 2017.
