Czechs are big travellers. Nearly three quarters of Czechs travel for pleasure every year.

Nearly 2.2 mil organized trips are sold a year. Some 48% of all travel is estimated to be individual.

Slovakia remains the most favorite destination of Czech tourists with nearly a million trips a year. Together with Croatia, Austria, Italy and Greece, these five destinations form 60% of all holiday trips.

Czechs spend total of EUR 3.5 bil abroad on tourism, or EUR 330 per capita. Average trip in Europe costs USD 900 while CZK 37,500 outside of Europe.

Nearly a third of the travel expenditures are spent on accommodation. Further fifth is used for food and 16% for travel.
