Eurobank Group's non-performing loans reached 43.4% of total loans at the end of 2015, up from 38.6% compared to the previous year. Historically, the NPL ratio hit an all time high of 43.4% in 2015 and an all time low of 3.22% in 2007.

Provision coverage amounted to 52.6% at the end of 2015, up from 48.7% compared to a year earlier.

The bank created loan loss provisions worth of 6.50% of average loans in 2015. That's compared to 7.11% of loans the bank put aside to its cost on average in the last five years.

Comparing Eurobank Group with its closest peers, National Bank of Greece operated at the end of 2015 with NPL ratio of 37.9% and provision coverage of 58.2%, Piraeus Bank Group with 2.22% and 70.4% respectively and Alpha Bank Group had 53.7% of bad loans covered with 38.4% by provisions at the end of 2015.
