Foreign trade as a share of GDP fell 2.75% to 145% in Cyprus in 2019, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, foreign trade as a share of GDP in Cyprus reached an all time high of 149% in 2018 and an all time low of 92.2% in 1975. When compared to Cyprus's main peers, foreign trade as a share of GDP in Egypt amounted to 43.3%, 74.4% in Greece, 56.8% in Israel and 62.7% in Turkey in 2019.
