Foreign trade in services as a share of GDP reached 26.3 % in 2016 in Mongolia, according to the National Statistical Office. This is 4.45 % less than in the previous year.

Historically, foreign trade in services as a share of GDP in Mongolia reached an all time high of 38.8 % in 2004 and an all time low of 2.97 % in 1981. When compared to Mongolia's main peers, foreign trade in services as a share of GDP in China amounted to 5.81 %, 12.7 % in Kazakhstan, 27.7 % in Kyrgyzstan and 9.76 % in Russia in 2016.
