Historically, grape production in Romania reached an all time high of 2,192 kt in 1982 and an all time low of 506 kt in 2005. When compared to Romania's main peers, grape production in Bulgaria amounted to 277 kt, 434 kt in Hungary, 571 kt in Moldova and 518 kt in Ukraine in 2015.
