Gross capital formation as a share of GDP reached 0.342 % in 2017 in Iran, according to the National Statistical Office. This is 3.14 % more than in the previous year.

Historically, gross capital formation as a share of GDP in Iran reached an all time high of 0.484 % in 1977 and an all time low of 0.171 % in 1988. When compared to Iran's main peers, gross capital formation as a share of GDP in Iraq amounted to 0.174 % and 0.161 % in Pakistan in 2017.
