Based on a comparison of 172 countries in 2019, Venezuela ranked the highest in time to start new business with 230 days followed by Laos and Cambodia. On the other end of the scale was New Zealand with 0.500 days, Georgia with 1.00 days and Singapore with 1.50 days.

Average time to start new business reached 19.6 days in 2019 in the World according to the National Statistical Office. This is 4.61 % less than in the previous year and -92.5 % less than 10 years ago.

Historically, average time to start new business reached an all time high of 51.5 days in 2003 and an all time low of 19.6 days in 2019. The average annual growth amounted to -5.86 % since 2003.
