HSBC's capital adequacy ratio reached 20.2% at the end of third quarter of 2019, up from 20.1% when compared to the previous quarter. Historically, the bank’s capital ratio hit an all time high of 21.0% in 2Q2017 and an all time low of 14.1% in 4Q2011.
The Tier 1 ratio amounted to 17.3% at the end of third quarter of 2019, down from 17.3% compared to the same period of last year and up from 17.2% when compared to the the previous quarter.
Bank's loan to deposit ratio reached 74.1% at the end of 3Q2019, up from 72.9% when compared to the same period of last year.
