Hypo Alpe-Adria-Bank Croatia's non-performing loans reached 13.2% of total loans at the end of 2015, up from 12.0% when compared to the previous year. Historically, the NPL ratio hit an all time high of 31.1% in 2008 and an all time low of 11.4% in 2007.

Provision coverage amounted to 73.7% at the end of 2015, up from 54.4% compared to a year earlier.

The bank created loan loss provisions worth of 10.3% of average loans in 2015. That's compared to 3.49% of loans the bank put aside to its cost on average in the last five years.

When compared to bank's main peers, Zagrebacka Banka operated at the end of 2015 with NPL ratio of 16.2% and provision coverage of 62.8%, Splitska Banka with 11.2% and 83.1% respectively and Privredna Banka Zagreb had 11.9% of bad loans covered with 70.5% by provisions at the end of 2015.
