Romanian banking sector provided mortgage loans of RON 76.5 bil in 2016, up 5.09% when compared to the last year.

Alpha Bank Romania accounted for 7.72% of all mortgage loans issued in Romania at the end of 2016. Historically, the bank’s market share in mortgage loans reached an all time high of 11.2% in 2008 and an all time low of 4.01% in 2003.
