Skoda Auto sold 1,242,770 vehicles in 2019, down -0.875% when compared to the previous year. Historically, company sales reached an all time high of 1,253,740 vehicles in 2018 and an all time low of 363,500 vehicles in 1998.
In financial terms, the firm reached total sales of CZK 459,122 mil and net profit of CZK 31,689 mil in 2019, up 10.2% and up 9.68%, respectively, when compared to the previous year.
As a result, average sales per vehicle amounted to CZK 307,364, or USD 13,634 when revenues from spare parts are included. That is approximately 15.6% less than a decade ago.
In terms of profitability, Skoda Auto made a net profit of CZK 25,499 per vehicle sold in 2019 (USD 1,131). This implies a margin of 8.30% when compared to average price.
As far as Skoda Auto's peers are concerned, Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Czech sells its vehicles for USD 17,314 on average and makes a profit of USD 1,059 per vehicle sold based on the 2019 figures. The comparable figures for Volkswagen Group are USD 21,881 and USD 1,434 per vehicle.
