National Bank of Greece's capital adequacy ratio reached 14.6% at the end of fourth quarter of 2015, up from 9.60% when compared to the previous quarter. Historically, the bank’s capital ratio hit an all time high of 16.2% in 2Q2014 and an all time low of -2.60% in 4Q2011.
The Tier 1 ratio amounted to 14.6% at the end of fourth quarter of 2015, up from 13.6% compared to the same period of last year and up from 9.60% when compared to the the previous quarter.
Bank's loan to deposit ratio reached 91.1% at the end of 4Q2015, up from 85.1% when compared to the same period of last year.
When compared to bank's main peers, Alpha Bank Group ended the fourth quarter of 2015 with a capital adequacy ratio at 16.8% and loans to deposits of 147% and Eurobank Group with 17.4% and 127% respectively.
