Raiffeisenbank Bulgaria's capital adequacy ratio reached 31.6% at the end of 2017, down from 32.2% compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s capital ratio hit an all time high of 36.7% in 2014 and an all time low of 6.62% in 2003.

The Tier 1 ratio amounted to 20.7% at the end of 2017, down from 21.8% compared to a year earlier.

Bank's loan to deposit ratio reached 82.2% at the end of 2017, down from 84.1% when compared to the previous year. Some 10 years ago, loan to deposit ratio of the bank amounted to 87.1%.

Comparing Raiffeisenbank Bulgaria with its closest peers, DSK Bank ended the year 2017 with a capital adequacy ratio at 17.1% and loans to deposits of 66.2%, United Bulgarian Bank with 24.3% and 56.0% respectively and UniCredit Bulbank some 27.3% in terms of capital adequacy and 68.5% of loans to deposits at the end of 2017.
