Slovenska Sporitelna therefore accounted for 28.7% of all bank cards issued by banks in Slovakia at the end of 2017. Historically, the bank’s market share in payment cards reached an all time high of 48.8% in 2000 and an all time low of 24.4% in 2011.
That's compared to a 21.6% market share the bank held in terms of total assets at the end of 2017.
