Based on a comparison of 19 banks in Russia in 2017, Raiffeisenbank Russia was the best capitalised bank, followed by Credit Bank of Moscow and Tinkoff Group.

Raiffeisenbank Russia's capital adequacy ratio reached 24.7%, down from 26.3% when compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s capital ratio hit an all time high of 26.3% in 2016 and an all time low of 11.2% in 2007.

Comparing Raiffeisenbank Russia with its closest peers, Credit Bank of Moscow ended the year 2017 with a capital adequacy ratio at 23.4%, Tinkoff Group with 21.1% and Rosbank some 21.0% at the end of 2017.
