Based on a comparison of 22 banks in Turkey in 2016, Isbank generated the largest revenues, followed by Ziraat Bank and Garanti Bank.

Isbank reported total revenues of TRY 20,400 mil, up 12.4% compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s revenues containing of interest, fee and other non-interest income reached an all time high of TRY 20,400 mil in 2016 and an all time low of TRY 1,913 mil in 2001. The average revenue in the last five years amounted to TRY 14,811 mil.

Bank's total revenues accounted for 5.49% of total assets in 2016, up from 5.57% a year earlier.

Comparing Isbank with its closest peers, Ziraat Bank generated total revenues of TRY 17,217 mil, or 4.81% of assets in 2016, Garanti Bank operated with TRY 16,910 mil total income, or 5.42% revenue margin and Akbank produced total income worth TRY 12,916 mil, or 4.39% of assets.

Turkish banking sector generated total revenues of TRY 121,108 mil in 2016, up 22.1% when compared to the previous year. As a result, the top ranked company - Isbank accounted for 16.8% of the sector’s total income in 2016. The top 3 companies held a 45.0% share while the five largest firms some 65.5% in 2016.
