Indian Bank's capital adequacy ratio reached 13.5% at the end of 2018, up from 12.8% compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s capital ratio hit an all time high of 14.1% in 2006 and an all time low of 12.8% in 2013.

The Tier 1 ratio amounted to 11.5% at the end of 2018, down from 11.5% compared to a year earlier.

Bank's loan to deposit ratio reached 74.9% at the end of 2018, down from 75.2% when compared to the previous year. Some 10 years ago, loan to deposit ratio of the bank amounted to 54.2%.
