Interest rate on bank loans reached 39.1 % in 1992 in Uganda, according to the National Central Bank. This is 88.4 % more than in the previous year.

Historically, interest rate on bank loans in Uganda reached an all time high of 40.0 % in 1989 and an all time low of 12.0 % in 1980. When compared to Uganda's main peers, interest rate on bank loans in Kenya amounted to 21.1 % and 16.7 % in Rwanda in 1992.
