Expenditure of international tourism rose 13.9% to USD 21,856 mil in India in 2017, according to Eurostat.

Historically, expenditure of international tourism in India reached an all time high of USD 21,856 mil in 2017 and an all time low of USD 913 mil in 1996. When compared to India's main peers, expenditure of international tourism in Bangladesh amounted to USD 1,118 mil, USD 257,733 mil in China, USD 3,223 mil in Pakistan and USD 2,409 mil in Sri Lanka in 2017.
