Expenditure of international tourism reached 618 USD mil in 2017 in Mongolia, according to Eurostat. This is 15.3 % more than in the previous year.

Historically, expenditure of international tourism in Mongolia reached an all time high of 643 USD mil in 2013 and an all time low of 19.0 USD mil in 1997. When compared to Mongolia's main peers, expenditure of international tourism in China amounted to 257,733 USD mil, 1,886 USD mil in Kazakhstan, 422 USD mil in Kyrgyzstan and 35,585 USD mil in Russia in 2017.
