Historically, expenditure of international tourism in Iceland reached an all time high of 1,336 USD mil in 2007 and an all time low of 282 USD mil in 1995. When compared to Iceland's main peers, expenditure of international tourism in Denmark amounted to 9,159 USD mil, 16,656 USD mil in Norway, 14,480 USD mil in Sweden and 79,371 USD mil in United Kingdom in 2016.
