Historically, expenditure of international tourism in Latvia reached an all time high of 1,139 USD mil in 2008 and an all time low of 62.0 USD mil in 1995. When compared to Latvia's main peers, expenditure of international tourism in Belarus amounted to 897 USD mil, 1,297 USD mil in Estonia, 1,220 USD mil in Lithuania and 27,652 USD mil in Russia in 2016.
Latvia has been ranked 88th within the group of 146 countries we follow in terms of expenditure of international tourism, 14 places behind the position seen 10 years ago.
