Historically, receipts of international tourism in Iceland reached an all time high of USD 3,024 mil in 2017 and an all time low of USD 309 mil in 1995. When compared to Iceland's main peers, receipts of international tourism in Denmark amounted to USD 8,508 mil, USD 6,840 mil in Norway, USD 14,168 mil in Sweden and USD 47,719 mil in United Kingdom in 2017.
Iceland has been ranked 68th within the group of 161 countries we follow in terms of receipts of international tourism, 21 places above the position seen 10 years ago.
