Mortgage loans rose 0.636% yoy to EUR 1,008 bil in Germany in 3Q2016, according to the National Central Bank. This is 1.14% more than in the previous quarter.
Historically, mortgage loans in Germany reached an all time high of EUR 1,010 bil in 4Q2015 and an all time low of EUR 902 bil in 2Q2010.
Germany has been ranked 18th within the group of 62 countries we follow in terms of mortgage loans, 18 places below the position seen 10 years ago.
