Historically, motor vehicles per 1,000 people in Brunei reached an all time high of 709 vehicles in 2015 and an all time low of 237 vehicles in 2005. When compared to Brunei's main peers, motor vehicles per 1,000 people in Indonesia amounted to 88.9 vehicles, 439 vehicles in Malaysia, 37.9 vehicles in Philippines and 23.5 vehicles in Vietnam in 2015.
