National Bank of Greece's loans reached EUR 58,218 mil in the 2015, down from EUR 78,683 mil when compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s loans reached an all time high of EUR 80,614 mil in 2010 and an all time low of EUR 30,449 mil in 2005.

At the end of 2015, National Bank of Greece's loans accounted for 106% of total deposits and 40.8% of total assets.
Mortgage loans represented 33.1% of the bank's loan book at the end of the year 2015, consumer further 9.62% and corporate loans 47.7% of total loans.
