National Bank of Greece generated total banking revenues of EUR 524 mil in the fourth quarter of 2015, down 42% when compared to the same period of last year and up 3.58% when compared to the previous quarter.

Historically, the bank’s revenues containing of interest, fee and other non-interest income reached an all time high of EUR 1,421 mil in 4Q2008 and an all time low of EUR 506 mil in 3Q2015. The average revenue in the last six quarters amounted to EUR 723 mil.

Net interest income represented 90.4% of total revenues, fee income contributed 4.01% and other non-interest income added further 5.55% to the overall revenue generation in 4Q2015.

Bank's total revenues accounted for 1.88% total assets in the fourth quarter of 2015, down from 3.13% a year earlier.

When compared to bank's main peers, Alpha Bank Group generated total revenues of 3.67% of assets in 4Q2015 Piraeus Bank Group operated with 2.76% revenue margin and Eurobank Group produced total income worth 2.60% of assets.
