Net foreign assets rose 17.9% to EUR 54.2 bil in Greece in 2019, according to the National Central Bank.

Historically, net foreign assets in Greece reached an all time high of EUR 54.2 bil in 2019 and an all time low of EUR -64.4 bil in 2011. When compared to Greece's main peers, net foreign assets in Albania amounted to ALL 691 bil, BGN 58.0 bil in Bulgaria, MKD 192 bil in Macedonia and TRY 101 bil in Turkey in 2019.

Greece has been ranked 94th within the group of 144 countries we follow in terms of net foreign assets, 15 places above the position seen 10 years ago.
