Nova Ljubljanska banka's non-performing loans reached 22.5% of total loans at the end of 2015, down from 30.9% when compared to the previous year. Historically, the NPL ratio hit an all time high of 32.4% in 2012 and an all time low of 10.2% in 2009.
Provision coverage amounted to 70.7% at the end of 2015, up from 63.5% compared to a year earlier.
The bank created loan loss provisions worth of 1.24% of average loans in 2015. That's compared to 5.27% of loans the bank put aside to its cost on average in the last five years.
When compared to bank's main peers, UniCredit Bank Slovenia operated at the end of 2015 with NPL ratio of 15.9% and provision coverage of 63.4%, NKBM Group with 13.1% and 195% respectively and SKB Banka had 11.3% of bad loans covered with 81.9% by provisions at the end of 2015.
