Number of manufactured cigarettes sold per capita of 15+ years old rose 1.56% to 885 per year in Hungary in 2016, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, number of manufactured cigarettes sold per capita of 15+ years old in Hungary reached an all time high of 3,446 per year in 1990 and an all time low of 871 per year in 2015. When compared to Hungary's main peers, number of manufactured cigarettes sold per capita of 15+ years old in Austria amounted to 1,723 per year, 2,247 per year in Czech Republic, 1,279 per year in Poland and 1,482 per year in Slovakia in 2016.
