Historically, number of prisoners in Luxembourg reached an all time high of 762 persons in 2008 and an all time low of 341 persons in 2001. When compared to Luxembourg's main peers, number of prisoners in Belgium amounted to 10,994 persons, 66,678 persons in France, 63,020 persons in Germany and 10,850 persons in Netherlands in 2015.
