Hungarian banking sector accepted customer deposits of HUF 20,469 bil in 2017, up 7.74% when compared to the last year.
OTP Bank Hungary accounted for 26.3% of all customer deposits taken by banks in Hungary at the end of 2017. Historically, the bank’s market share in customer deposits reached an all time high of 27.8% in 2014 and an all time low of 23.4% in 2008.
That's compared to a 19.8% market share the bank held in terms of total assets at the end of 2017.
