Hungarian banking sector provided consumer loans of HUF 2,323 bil in 2017, up 7.63% when compared to the last year.
OTP Bank Hungary accounted for 34.1% of all consumer loans issued in Hungary at the end of 2017. Historically, the bank’s market share in consumer loans reached an all time high of 34.4% in 2016 and an all time low of 28.9% in 2008.
That's compared to a 19.8% market share the bank held in terms of total assets at the end of 2017.
